Kurt Farrugia has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Residenza Malta and will officially take up the role on 1st July.The announcement was made by the Ministry for Education and Sport, which highlighted Farrugia’s extensive leadership experience across government and the public sector.Farrugia previously served as Head of Government Communications and spokesperson to the Prime Minister before going on to lead Malta Enterprise and, most recently, Transport Malta.During his two-year tenure at Transport Malta, he oversaw a number of strategic initiatives across the land transport, maritime and aviation sectors. At Malta Enterprise, he also led efforts to attract major investment, strengthen Malta’s start-up ecosystem and support local businesses.Minister Byron Camilleri welcomed the appointment, saying Farrugia’s experience in public administration, strategic planning and organisational leadership would help strengthen Residenza Malta’s mission of attracting talent and investment to Malta.The ministry also paid tribute to the late Jonathan Cardona, thanking him for his contribution to the growth and success of Residenza Malta.What do you make of this appointment?•
