Russia is reportedly considering a temporary rollback on fuel quality standards, allowing the production and import of lower-grade gasoline and diesel. This move comes as Ukraine's intensified strikes on Russian refineries have led to widespread fuel shortages and price hikes. The proposed measure, aimed at alleviating the crisis, could permit the use of Euro-2 standard fuel, which has been banned since 2013, for a year.
