This summer, Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort fans have the chance to own a piece of theme park history. The Walt Disney Company has announced the one-of-a-kind Disney Experiences Auction as part of D23 Expo 2026, which takes place in Anaheim in August. Here’s what Disney Parks fans need to know.Disney Theme Park Artifact Auction on August 16Credit: Brett Kiger, FlickrOn Monday, The Walt Disney Company announced the programming schedule for D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, which takes over the Anaheim Convention Center and Honda Center from August 14 to 16, 2026. On August 16, fans at the exposition and around the world can bid in the Disney Experiences Auction, featuring verified relics from the Disney theme parks and resorts.The Disney Experiences Auction will be hosted by Disney Fine Artist Bret Iwan, who also serves as the current voice of Mickey Mouse. D23 hasn’t officially said what will be offered in the auction, but promotional images hint at items from Walt Disney World Resort’s 50th anniversary, the Haunted Mansion, Tomorrowland, and the Muppets archives.Credit: D23“The Disney Experiences Auction is making its way to D23 this year,” said Michael Vargo, head of D23. “This is actually a place where you can go and bid on some finds from Disney Parks and Resorts, and you can take home a bit of the magic with you.”Disney hasn’t announced exactly how fans will be able to bid on auction items, virtually or in person, but it will likely share more information as the D23 Expo approaches.
