What everyone sees: price +0.42% → "buyers won". What the log says: 161 contracts aggressive sell vs 52 aggressive buy. Sellers 3.1x heavier — price rose anyway, into thin/pulled asks. Label volume by price direction (the standard shortcut) and you'd call this a buyers' candle — and be wrong. We take vol_buy / vol_sell directly from the aggressor side in the trade log, so the attribution is correct regardless of where price went. Measure who traded; don't infer it from the candle.
