Ahsoka Tano is one of the most recognizable characters in Star Wars. Although she debuted in the 2008 theatrical animated film Star Wars: The Clone Wars, it was the long-running TV series of the same name, which launched that same year, that made her a household name among fans.Credit: LucasfilmRelated: ‘Star Wars’ Officially Reveals Ashley Eckstein’s Ahsoka Tano ReplacementAhsoka Tano’s Appearances Throughout Star WarsAhsoka Tano (Ashley Eckstein) has appeared in multiple Star Wars projects since The Clone Wars, including other animated entries such as Star Wars Rebels (2014–2018), Star Wars: The Forces of Destiny (2017–2018), Star Wars Galaxy of Adventures (2018), and Tales of the Jedi (2022).Outside animation, she has appeared in the 2016 Ahsoka novel, the 2015 video game Disney Infinity 3.0, and Lego Star Wars miniseries such as Rebuild the Galaxy (2024–2025).In 2020, however, Ahsoka made the leap from animation in The Mandalorian Season 2, with Rosario Dawson taking up the mantle, before headlining her own spinoff series Ahsoka in 2023, where she starred alongside various actors playing live-action versions of Rebels characters, including Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo), Hera Syndulla (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), and Ezra Bridger (Eman Esfandi). Now, a second season is in production, with Dawson set to reprise her role as the character.Credit: LucasfilmStar Wars Unveils New Ahsoka TanoBut while Ahsoka’s appearances span animation, live action, and gaming, she is most recognizable in her Clone Wars form.
