Bronze pens new one-year contract extension at Chelsea

Chelsea have announced that experienced defender Lucy Bronze has put pen to paper on a contract extension that will keep her at the club until 2027. Bronze, who joined Chelsea from Barcelona ahead of the 2024-25 season, said her decision came down to wanting to be involved in the Blues' "exciting" future. The 32-year-old has made 56 appearances for Chelsea across all competitions, scoring five goals and helping the club win four major honours over the last two seasons. She won the Women's Super League in her first campaign at Chelsea, along with the FA Cup and League Cup.
