Last weekend's Curragh maiden winner Suspicious Mindz was the most expensive lot to change hands during Wednesday's Tattersalls Online July Sale when bought for 50,000gns by Chalkstone Racing, a new venture operating out of Malton.One of four lots in the sale consigned by Jessica Harrington's Commonstown Stables, the three-year-old son of Bated Breath boasts a current Timeform rating of 88 and is a half-brother to the G2 Norfolk Stakes winner The Ridler (Brazen Beau).Chalkstone Racing also came away with fellow last-time-out winner Great Dream (Invincible Spirit) for 30,000gns. Consigned by William Haggas' Somerville Lodge, the three-year-old showed improved form when scoring by 11 lengths at Ffos Las a fortnight ago.“Both will come and join our newly-established operation in Malton,” Chalkstone Racing's Stuart McFarlane said of the two new additions to the team. “We have long-term plans for the stable and some shorter-term plans as well where we are looking to secure some quality horses in training who have demonstrated plenty of potential.“We are delighted to have secured these two horses from the top stables of Jessica Harrington and William Haggas. We felt they represented excellent value and look the type to keep progressing and compete in some valuable races.”Elsewhere, a yearling filly from the first crop of the G1 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe winner Ace Impact was purchased by Bold Lines for 42,000gns.Consigned by Haras de Beaumont, who also stand European champion Ace Impact, the filly is out of the G3 Prix d'Aumale winner Shahah (Motivator) and is a half-sister to four winners, including the Listed-placed Ursuly (Olympic Glory).Another highlight was the young broodmare Comply (St Mark's Basilica), who was offered in foal to European champion two-year-old Little Big Bear. Consigned by Castlehyde Stud, the three-year-old went the way of CV Bloodstock for 39,000gns and is herself out of the G1 Cheveley Park Stakes heroine Rosdhu Queen (Invincible Spirit).The Tattersalls Online July Sale realised turnover of 439,300gns for 47 lots sold at an average price of 9,347gns.
