Mario Kart World Update Adds Knockout Tour Routes, Photo Mode Stickers

Wait 5 sec.

Nintendo launched the 1.7.0 patch for Mario Kart World that adds two new routes to Knockout Tour, stickers we can use in Photo Mode, and uses the update to rebalance some characters. The official support site updated with all the patch notes adjustments, while the site shared new screenshots for the Switch 2 launch game. Thai is also available as a language option now too. The two new Knockout Tour rally routes only open up in Mario Kart World after you go through one. After that, both will show up as options when heading into a race. With Boomerang Rally, everything kicks off at Salty Salty Speedway. After that, we go through Cheep Cheep Falls, Moo Moo Meadows, Choco Mountain, and Mario Bros Circuit. That race then ends at Whistletop Summit. The Drill Rally starts at Wario Shipyard. It then goes through DK Pass, Dandelion Depths, Mario Circuit, and Dry Bones Burnout. That then ends at Bowser’s Castle.  Nintendo shared official images of both routes to better highlight where we’ll go.Go Ad-Free With Siliconera+View the site with no ads, be able to provide direct feedback about what we cover, and be automatically entered into our monthly PC game giveaway.Join Siliconera+ Images via Nintendo As for the Mario Kart World Photo Mode stickers, that option comes up if you go through the pause menu to take pictures in-game. They are based on ones earned as we play. These can be combined with the frames also available in-game. Layering is possible too, as shown in the initial screenshots. Raised the gliding speed of characters that had high speed and that of some other characters and vehicles. Made it so the player can hop right away after being hit by Kamek’s magic or Bullet Bill. Adjusted conditions where the player can do a Jump Boost by shaking the controller when racing on top of the water. Adjusted behavior after landing on rivals and made it so the dash time after landing is longer. Made it so that the player can stop a slipstream when braking before the slipstream starts. Adjusted rate at which players can acquire items from item boxes in races and in Knockout Tour. Made it so that players can see the Super Horn a rival is holding. Added a ramp to the race that heads from Airship Fortress to Bowser’s Castle. Mario Kart World is available for the Switch 2 and more Knockout Tour routes and Photo Mode stickers are live in patch 1.7.0.  We may earn a commission if you purchase from certain links.
