Are Samsung Bespoke vacuum dust bags actually reusable?

Wait 5 sec.

When I bought the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra vacuum cleaner last year, there wasn’t much clear information on whether Samsung’s dust bags are reusable. The general consensus was that they aren’t washable, but you might be able to reuse them. I thought I'd cross that bridge when I come to it. And that time has come. After a year of using my Bespoke AI Jet Ultra vacuum with the same dust bag inside my All-in-One Clean Station, I finally reached the point where I had to remove it and see what my options were. Here’s what I found, apart from a figurative ton of dust compacted into a tiny space. Samsung does not sell reusable dust bags for its cordless vacuums, and the ones included with new units are standard disposables. You can find third-party reusable options, but they are not Samsung-made.That said, nothing physically stops you from reusing them if they are still intact. There is one element — a rubber flap — that physically makes things difficult, but not impossible. However, if the bag isn’t damaged and the walls aren’t heavily clogged with dust, you can technically get another round out of it.The main issue is the design. Samsung’s Bespoke dust bags include a rigid rubber flap over the intake. It opens inward, which makes emptying compacted dust awkward at best and messy at worst.Getting debris back out means working around that flap, which tends to fight you every step of the way. This is not something I would attempt indoors. If you do try it, go outside or at least somewhere well-ventilated where dust won’t settle on everything you own. The vacuum ships with two spare bags, and replacements are not particularly expensive given how rarely I seem to fill my vacuum's bag. However, I probably am in an uncommon situation. My apartment is relatively small, I have hard floors, very few rugs, no pets, and no kids running around. That probably explains why it took me a full year to even consider replacing the bag. Your mileage may vary, and if your home produces more dust, running costs could be noticeably higher. With that in mind, I can easily say the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra is the best vacuum I have ever used, and I would recommend it to anyone willing to spend that kind of money. What I cannot do is predict how often you will be replacing dust bags. But if you are wondering whether they are reusable at all, this is the most accurate answer: Samsung does not design or market them as reusable, but you can try reusing them, and if you are successful, they work without a hitch. Just know they are awkward to empty, not designed for it, and in the end, you might be better off replacing them. For convenience and to avoid turning your home into a dust cloud, I would stick with replacements. However, you can reuse one in a pinch, even if it's more of a workaround than a feature. Samsung Bespoke AI Jet Ultra review
