Neptunes WPSC have once again cemented their place at the top of Maltese swimming after being crowned Long Course Champions for the 12th time. The club enjoyed a dominant championship campaign, finishing with an impressive haul of 108 medals, including 42 gold, 42 silver and 24 bronze, across multiple age groups and events. One of the standout moments of the championships came courtesy of Madeline Cassar, who broke a 28-year-old age group record in the 200m butterfly, eclipsing a mark that had stood since 1998.The latest title adds to Neptunes’ reputation as Malta’s most successful swimming club, with the team crediting years of investment in athlete development, coaching, facilities and international competition opportunities for its continued success.Head Coach Gürkan Eroksuz led the coaching team throughout the championships, with the club also recognising the contributions of its coaches, committee members, volunteers, swimmers and parents.Neptunes also thanked ASA Malta for organising the championships and acknowledged the continued support of title sponsor Adalvo. The victory further strengthens Neptunes’ position as one of the leading forces in Maltese sport, with another generation of swimmers continuing to make their mark in the pool.Congratulations to everyone at Neptunes!•
