2 dogs shot and killed in Etobicoke, multiple suspects seen running away from scene

Toronto police are trying to piece together the details of an incident in Etobicoke on Monday morning that led to two dogs being shot.Police were called to the area of Rexdale Boulevard and Bergamot Avenue shortly before 11:00 a.m. for the sound of gunshots.An unknown number of suspects were seen running away from the scene through Rexlington Park. Police do not have a clear description of them, only describing one as a male wearing grey clothing.Paramedics could not provide any patient details but police evidence markers were seen delineating a trail of blood on Stavely Crescent at Redwater Drive as police investigated.Later in the afternoon police found a shooting scene inside a home in the area, where two dogs had been shot. They were both pronounced deceased. No other injuries were reported.A large police presence remains on scene as the investigation continues.
