A full-sister to German Oaks heroine Muskoka (Sea The Moon) (lot 67) is one of 227 lots catalogued for the BBAG Yearling Sale on Friday, September 4. Set to begin at 10 a.m., the sale is part of Baden-Baden's Grand Week, which also features several group races, among them the G1 Grosser Preis von Baden.Four of the last five winners of the G1 Deutsches Derby (German Derby) have been graduates of the sale, while the first three past the post this year in Dardanos (Soldier Hollow), Chiefland (Study Of Man) and Salitos (In Swoop), are also alumni. There are 24 half- for full-siblings to group winners, as well as 52% of the yearlings on offer are either out of black-type-winning or -placed mares or are siblings to black-type horses.Other lots of note are: lot 61, a Sea The Moon filly who is out of G3 Grosser Preis von St Leger heroine Hey Little Gorl (Sternkonig); a Torquator Tasso half-sister to German Derby winner Sammarco (Camelot) (lot 72); a Frankel half-brother (lot 85) to German Derby winners Windstoss (Shirocco) and Weltstar (Soldier Hollow); a Torquator Tasso half-brother to the aforementioned German Derby scorer Dardanos (lot 148); and lot 161, a Siyouni filly out of G2 German1000 Guineas victress Novemba (Gleneagles).In 2025, 153 yearlings sold from 198 offered (77%) for a gross of €8,404,100. The average was €54,929 and the median was €55,120.
