/u/Otterhendrix on If you are going to donate to someone on Go Fund Me, do you research for the validity of their request? Or just blindly donate?

Wait 5 sec.

Yeah I felt the same way when I found out that all their medical bills were paid for by the military. I thought back to every post, every fundraiser, every single lie and made up story and got sick to my stomach. She even made a long post about how she encountered a homeless man outside the hospital and bought him dinner and gave him $100 to help him out. Which made people donate more money! When I know for a fact that she was home the whole day and nowhere near the hospital. The only good thing is that people slowly began to realize what they were doing and stopped giving them money. They both refused to work and became accustomed to people paying their bills for them, so when the money stopped, they lost everything. I feel bad for their children because they deserve better. But the parents can rot in the hottest corner of hell.
