It’s been really interesting watching him. He’s been so frustrated with the lack of energy.“He’s now deep in conversation with Noni Madueke, that’s what he needs. He’s actually quite angry and telling him what he needs him to do down that right-hand side. Because we potentially would have had a lot of joy down there.“We saw it with Anthony Gordon down the left-hand side, every time Thomas Tuchel told him to hug the touchline on the left-hand side, he went out there. “It was John Stones with the ball across to him and we had joy. We won a corner. We drove at the defence. There’s just not enough speed and that’s what he’s telling him.”Former England captain Stuart Pearce then added: “He’s in Madueke’s ear quite ferociously. That’s good management on what I’m seeing. “Because I think our two wide players hold the key in this game because that’s probably where they’re at the weakest.”Madueke only attempted two dribbles in the first half, giving away one foul and sending a cross straight out for a goal kick. The Arsenal winger lost possession three times in that period too, but also almost set up Nico O’Reilly for a tap-in.Tuchel looked angry on the touchline and raged at his players in the first breakAFPHe was particularly angry with Madueke for his poor showingEngland then conceded shortly after that to go 1-0 down, but Jude Bellingham hit back just before half time to level it.Harry Kane then chipped in to seemingly give the Three Lions the lead, but the offside flag denied him.‘A complete embarrassment’Despite going into half time at 1-1, talkSPORT’s Adrian Durham and Pearce were not happy with the performance.Durham ranted: “Jude Bellingham has saved us yet again. “I actually think Thomas Tuchel should get stuck into them at half-time. I actually thought that first half, in the main, up to the goal, was a complete embarrassment from England.“That first half was everything that Tuchel said it wouldn’t be.”Bellingham’s goal put England level going into half time despite a poor showingGettyThis is a developing story and is being updated. For the latest updates, breaking news alerts, and comprehensive analysis, refresh this page or follow our real-time news coverage by watching and listening to talkSPORT live. For broader context, explore related coverage on our homepage for the top trending stories.
