A million years ago when I was a broke 20 year old mom I did get a Pell grant for nursing school. $1700 a semester. Classes and books (we had to actually buy them back then) was $2000 per semester plus living expenses. I did it, working full time and going to school full time, and it was rough- but sometimes you just have to suck it up for the future security. So- yes, point made there’s resources to help, but it’s not a lot (also location dependent). Here in Arizona the social benefits are very very weak.
