ONGC has drilled its second geothermal well in Ladakh's Puga Valley. This marks a significant step towards developing India's first pilot geothermal power plant. The company's research arm drilled the well to 1,000 meters, improving on previous timelines. This new well will support a 1-megawatt electric pilot geothermal power plant. The project aims to pave the way for commercial geothermal energy exploitation in India.
