Two killed in separate accidents in Kochi - The HinduPublished - July 07, 2026 09:02 pm IST - KOCHIA man waiting for bus at Manjummel junction was fatally knocked down by a speeding two-wheeler on Monday night.The deceased was identified as Kartik Roy, 36, of Jalpaiguri district in West Bengal. Though rushed to a hospital, he could not be saved. He succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at the Ernakulam Government Hospital on Tuesday around 2 a.m.Kartik and his friend, Sankar Singh, were waiting for bus when the bike reportedly hit him. The two-wheeler rider also sustained injuries in the accident. The Eloor police have registered a case.In a separate accident, Edwin, 19, of Asamannoor, was fatally knocked down by a train at the Aluva railway station in the early hours of Tuesday.
