Sudharshan Reddy | Photo Credit: RAMAKRISHNA GHyderabad has significantly progressed in terms of the distribution of electoral forms as part of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls, but lags behind when it comes to digitisation of the forms, which means that the collection of the filled in forms has not picked up yet.Distribution of enumeration forms across the State has reached 96% by the end of Tuesday (July 7), as per information from the office of the Chief Electoral Officer.Nirmal is the only district where 100% form distribution has been completed, closely followed by many other districts such as Rajanna Sircilla, Adilabad and Siddipet. In Hyderabad, the distribution is 81.5% completed, while in Rangareddy and Medchal Malkajgiri it stands at 93% and 88.4% respectively.In terms of digitisation of the forms, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district leads all at 41.3% followed by Kumram Bheem Asifabad district at 33.31%.Digitisation takes place after the Booth Level Officer collects the filled in forms and uploads them onto the designated app. The data is manually entered into the system which is a back-end process that goes on simultaneously as the forms are uploaded.In Hyderabad, only 3.43% of the total forms have been digitised, while Medchal Malkajgiri district has recorded the lowest digitisation at 1.29%. Rangareddy district, which also constitutes part of the city, has recorded 3.34% digitisation of forms. Distribution and collection of the forms should be completed by July 24. Overall, 3.24 crore enumeration forms have been distributed till date across the State, as per information from the CEO’s office.After completion of distribution, collection and digitisation, the draft electoral rolls will be published on July 31, for receiving claims and objections up to August 30. After settlement of claims before September 28, final rolls will be published on October 1.Published - July 07, 2026 09:14 pm ISTSign in to unlock member-only benefits!Access 10 free stories every monthSave stories to read laterAccess to comment on every storySign-up/manage your newsletter subscriptions with a single clickGet notified by email for early access to discounts & offers on our products${ ind + 1 } ${ device }Last active - ${ la }
