VVS Laxman will lead India's support staff for the Zimbabwe tour and Asian Games. This move allows the senior team's staff a brief respite after the England series. The Zimbabwe T20I series begins just four days after the England tour concludes. Laxman's team will also manage the Asian Games squad while Gambhir coaches the West Indies ODIs. This is not Laxman's first time leading a second-string Indian squad.
