The movie, which is based on the Greek poem authored by Homer over 2800 years ago, has sparked controversy with many of its casting decisions.For example, Kenyan-Mexican actress Lupita Nyong’o is playing both traditionally white characters Helen of Troy and her sister, Clytemnestra, in the film. Moreover, transgender actor Elliot Page has a notable role.During a press tour promoting “The Odyssey” last week, Nyong’o spoke with interviewer Jake Hamilton on his YouTube channel about the film and her role.
