Former Wisconsin judge Hannah Dugan was sentenced to no prison time after she was found guilty of obstructing ICE agents. In December, Milwaukee Judge Hannah Dugan was found guilty of obstruction for helping an illegal alien evade ICE agents.Dugan was acquitted of count 1 – the misdemeanor but she was found guilty on count 2 – the felony obstruction.Hannah Dugan was facing five years in prison, but US District Judge Lynn Adelman, a Clinton appointee, fined her $5,000 and spared her prison time.The AP reported:Former Wisconsin Judge Hannah Dugan was spared from prison Wednesday for ushering a Mexican defendant out of her courtroom to evade U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents. A federal judge fined her $5,000 and cited her otherwise law-abiding life in issuing the sentence.Dugan, 67, was convicted of felony obstruction in December. Her lawyers argued during her trial that President Donald Trump’s administration sought to “crush” Dugan in an effort to ensure judicial compliance with the ICE strategy of targeting immigrants as they showed up for court hearings.Last April, a federal grand jury indicted Hannah Dugan for helping an illegal alien evade ICE agents.According to the FBI, Dugan became angry when she found out that ICE agents were waiting outside of her courtroom last week to arrest Eduardo Flores-Ruiz, an illegal alien involved in a domestic abuse case she was overseeing.
