The Minister for Roads and Highways, Kwame Governs Agbodza, has directed Maripoma Enterprise Limited, the contractor constructing the Dambai Bridge, to complete the project on schedule, within budget and without compromising on quality.According to the Minister, the bridge is a critical infrastructure project that will improve connectivity in the Oti Region, enhance the movement of people and goods, and stimulate economic activities in Dambai and its surrounding communities.Mr. Agbodza gave the directive during an inspection of the project as part of his nationwide road inspection tour of the Oti Region, where he urged the contractor to remain committed to meeting project timelines while adhering to the required engineering standards. He noted that the bridge is being financed entirely by the Government of Ghana, making it imperative that the project delivers lasting value to the country and its people.“We are doing this with our own resources. No amount of it is a loan we took from other countries so Ghanaians must be proud that for once we are spending our own money to do something like this. I think the contractors will be guided and help as much as possible to be able to deliver on time, on budget and without compromising on the quality,” he said. The Roads and Highways Minister stressed that the government expects the Dambai Bridge to be delivered to the highest engineering standards to ensure its long-term durability and maximise its contribution to the socio-economic development of the Oti Region.
