The National Mission for Clean Ganga has started two pilot projects for urban drain treatment. These projects utilize constructed wetlands to clean wastewater before it enters the Yamuna. The initiatives aim to adopt sustainable and low-energy approaches for managing urban drains. Progress is steady at both Shastri Park and Kailash Nagar drain sites. These nature-based solutions will demonstrate effective wastewater treatment and scalable models.
