Danny Rolston has been appointed as the new head of racing at Yulong, “overseeing the management, strategy and development” of the operation's global racing empire.Rolston joins Yulong after four years with the Hong Kong Jockey Club as Executive Manager International Sale/Owner Advisory Services, where his responsibilities included overseeing and supporting the objectives for the Hong Kong International Sale. He also contributed to the Club's ongoing strategy in developing pathways for new and prospective racehorse owners across Hong Kong and Mainland China.Prior to his time in Hong Kong, Rolston worked for Godolphin in both the USA and the UAE. Rolston also spent 18 years with New Zealand Bloodstock, where he most recently served as Director of Sales.“Yulong has made a tremendous impact on the global breeding, racing and bloodstock industry,” said Rolston. “To join an already strong leadership team during such an exciting period of growth is both an honour and a privilege.“Having reviewed the existing racing team and the quality of the young horses coming through for the new season, I believe the success of the bottle green silks is only heading in one direction.”Yulong General Manager Jun Zhang welcomed the appointment, saying, “Danny's industry knowledge, strategic mindset and extensive network will be invaluable assets as we continue to grow.“Combined with his proven leadership credentials, he is a fantastic addition to our team.
