A new Baki the Grappler series character popularity poll opened in honor of the manga and anime’s 35th anniversary. People worldwide can visit and vote at the official site until August 21, 2026. However, the page is only available in Japanese. Everyone is allowed to vote once per day. The winning character will be revealed on September 17, 2026. Series creator Keisuke Itagaki will draw the winner. The people we can vote for in the Baki the Grappler 35th anniversary character popularity poll are divided into sections that can be expanded and collapsed to make it easier to find people. There are also pictures of each person alongside their name, to make it easier for us to ensure we’re voting for the right folks. So in the first section we find members of the Hanma family and people close to them, like Baki Hanma, Yujiro Hanma, Emi Akezawa, Katsumi Orochi, Natsue Orochi, Doppo Orochi, Gaia, Kiyosumi Katou, and Shuumei Kanou. Another section focuses on people from the Maximum Tournament Saga like Iron Michael, Yuu Amanai, Alexander Gallen, and Andreas Reagan. The Most Evil Death Row Convicts Saga folks get their own area as well, with people like Sikorsky, Spec, Hector Doyle, and Dorian in it. This comes not too long after a new Baki the Grappler series anime adaptation showed up on Netflix. It appears under the name Baki Hanma. Two seasons are available on the streaming service. That show started with the Combat Shadow Fighting Saga and covered up through the Strongest Father and Child Quarrel Saga.
