Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Harry Winks is now closing in on a move to Serie A side Cagliari following Leicester City’s relegation from the Championship.Relegation is absolutely one of the worst experiences for any football fan supporting a club. Spurs were so close to reaching those rather low heights last campaign after a dismal showing. A whopping 17 games lost, with the majority coming this calendar year, was enough to keep Tottenham in the first division of English football – but only just. The Foxes, who enjoyed top‑flight status in the Premier League and have featured in 19 seasons in the top flight, suffered relegation to the Championship in 24‑25.A year on and it is back‑to‑back relegations, with Leicester now set to drop into League One next season. Had they been relegated, then this summer window could well have looked very different to what it is now.
