Around 63 million barrels of Iranian crude are stranded on tankers after the US revoked a sanctions waiver that had temporarily allowed Iran to sell oil without facing American penalties. The waiver, introduced as part of an interim US-Iran peace deal, was withdrawn following Iranian attacks on tankers in the Strait of Hormuz, leaving much of the oil without confirmed buyers.
