As day eight of Yorgen Fenech’s trial by jury continued, Daphne Caruana Galizia’s sister Mandy Mallia shared an emotional message reflecting on the family’s loss and their long wait for justice.Posting a childhood photo of herself, Daphne and their sisters Cora and Helene, Mallia wrote:“The reality is that there should still be four of us here today, because Daphne should never have been killed, let alone in such a barbaric way.”She went on to reflect on the family’s nearly nine-year wait for justice following Daphne’s assassination.“Instead, we have sat in court for the past nine years, inches away from Daphne’s assorted murderers, hoping to see justice to be meted out.”Ending her post with a call for accountability, Mallia added:“Malta MUST step up, because Daphne deserves no less.”Yorgen Fenech has pleaded not guilty to charges of complicity in the assassination of journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia, who was killed in a car bomb attack on 16th October 2017.•
