Congratulations!!!! That is a huge accomplishment. You must have had to overcome some incredible hurdles to make it to the other side. Take it one day at a time, allow yourself grace, and keep on moving forward ❤️ In general, I agree that there are many people who want to help, especially when someone is asking for food or shelter. Soliciting for cash donations is a higher hurdle, even though economists have proven that people receive greater utility when given cash instead of goods. I hope that this spate of “unprecedented times” has humbled more Americans and made us realize that we are all vulnerable to hard times. Anyone is susceptible to a run of bad luck - job loss, illness, injury, genetics disposition - that could set us on the path to homelessness and addiction. Bad things can happen to good people, and sometimes we need help getting back on our feet. Good for you, passing along your good fortune. 😊
