I'll never understand the entitlement when people are asking random Internet strangers for help. It's always the same story, and the grocery list is usually outrageous and something people with money rarely buy for themselves. I've been in a bad situation and didn't know how to feed my house for a couple days. I even reached out to help groups for groceries. The difference? I asked for exactly what I needed to survive (not thrive) and made sure it was the cheapest possible options. It was like 5-6 things with a total of like 12$. Had a couple people reach out within minutes. I'm more than sure it's because I was actually asking for the minimum help and didn't get defensive over help with resources instead.
