Harry Redknapp believes Tottenham Hotspur will make their way into the UCL next season based on their summer signings.Last season was probably as bad as it could get for Tottenham Hotspur, who escaped relegation by their teeth after a frantic Premier League run‑in. It took two managerial changes during the campaign before Spurs could finally steady themselves, following a dismal 2026 in which they failed to secure a single Premier League win across the first four months. The appointment of Roberto De Zerbi proved a rare stroke of brilliance for the north Londoners, who had struggled for most of the season. De Zerbi kept his end of the bargain by ensuring Spurs remained in the Premier League, and with that has come a summer chest he has been allowed to spend.Credit: @thefrederikkejensen / InstagramHarry Redknapp backs De Zerbi to secure a top-five finish after summer spending spreeThe Italian has been busy strengthening the Tottenham squad, bringing in several big names with significant Premier League experience. Six new signings have arrived through the door, bolstering Spurs’ defensive and midfield ranks for a total of £237 million – the second biggest transfer spend in Tottenham’s history. The newest additions have certainly left fans excited, including former boss Harry Redknapp, who is convinced Tottenham can now push for a Champions League spot despite finishing in 17th place last season.Speaking on Sky Sports, he said: “I think Tottenham have made some great signings, I think Tottenham next year I would be surprised if they are not in the top five. I think with that squad, that manager, I think they are very, very, very capable. Top four, top five, I think they would be up there pushing them teams to a Champions League place, I have got no doubt about that.”Redknapp praises Tottenham’s new arrivalsRedknapp was also full of praise for the new signings that have come through the door for Tottenham this summer. He highlighted several players, including, Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi, Jan Paul van Hecke, Tonali and Fernandes, focusing on their professionalism, experience and suitability for De Zerbi’s project. He added: “Robertson, left back from Liverpool, what a professional. Just the type you want in your dressing room, just the type you want on the pitch. He has been there, done it all, and I love him as a player, professional person. I think he is a great signing as well, he is a bit understated.“Senesi, the boy, a centre half from Bournemouth, I saw a lot of last year and the year before. He is a top player as well. He is a great acquisition too. The centre half from Brighton, Van Hecke, the two midfield players. Tottenham are really going to push to be a Champions League team next year, I think they have got every chance of doing that.”READ MORE: 10 Tottenham players spotted on first day of pre-season, including Mateus FernandesThe post Harry Redknapp predicts where Tottenham will finish after £237m spending appeared first on Spurs Web.
