Is it common/typical now for SEO/web layout agencies (like Carnegie Higher Ed) to heavily depend on AI to draft webcopies? Need some advice

Wait 5 sec.

Hi, I am a student worker for my college's marketing director, and we are patronizing an agency to create webcopies for us to use as we update our website. I've had a good read through of the webcopies, and while it is forward and straight to the point, it has that generic, loveless quality of writing to it, that to me is more of a stale turn-off than a call to action in generating interest. It's been assigned to me to try and make some edits to make it feel more natural and humanistic. I guess I'm just curious if any benefit is being served here to my college, or if rather it'd be just as well to just ask AI ourselves to generate such material. Thanks :) I'll provide a couple redacted samples below as an example...
