ShareLoum Tchaouna was relegated from the Premier League with Burnley last season, and he will hope to avoid that same fate with Coventry City.Coventry City have made Loum Tchaouna their second signing ahead of returning to the Premier League, having agreed a £20m deal to bring him in from Burnley.Tchaouna made 32 appearances and scored three goals in all competitions for the Clarets last season, but he was unable to prevent their relegation in his only season at Turf Moor. The 22-year-old previously represented Salernitana and Lazio in Serie A, having broken through in his native France after coming through Rennes' youth system. He follows Frank Onyeka, who was on loan at Coventry last season and made his stay permanent in June, through the door at the Coventry Building Society Arena.Having signed a five-year contract with the Sky Blues, the France under-21 international told their website: "I was at Burnley last season in the Premier League, which was incredible."I'm going to bring my energy, determination and leadership to the team. I've played in Ligue 1, Serie A and now I'm playing in the Premier League, the best league in the world, so I have a lot of experience for my young age."I'm so excited to play at the Coventry Building Society Arena and I can't wait for the new season."Frank Lampard's team will open their campaign, which is the club's first in the top tier since 2000-01, away to reigning champions Arsenal on August 21.
