The BJP replaced its Bankipur assembly bypoll candidate Abhishek Kumar Sinha. He withdrew his nomination citing family reasons after being announced on Tuesday. The party then nominated Neeraj Kumar Sinha as its new candidate for the bypoll. This closely watched contest will also feature poll strategist Prashant Kishor. Voting is scheduled for July 30, with results on August 3.
