I always wonder about these people who get a new place and require a huge list of things to furnish their home. When my ex and I split, I left the relationship with a bed, a tv, a handful of dishes and cookware. It took me a year or two to furish my new place. Started with the necessities like shower curtain, towels and made due with what I had. Watched t.v. sitting on pillows for a couple years. Hunted thrift shops for kitchen stuff, decor, etc. Saved money to buy furniture, etc. It never once crossed my mind to beg strangers to give me free stuff.
