Lies of P looks set to be followed by "Wonders of O," according to a new trademark listing. Developer Neowiz appears to have trademarked the title via the EU Intellectual Property Office, for use in an upcoming game. But while "P" was a reference to Pinocchio, what could "O" stand for? Well, fans of the puppet-starring Soulslike already think they know the answer, following various teases pointing to The Wizard of Oz and its character Dorothy — including a cameo from the Kansas heroine during the game's post-credits scene. Announced as being in full development earlier this year, the follow-up to Lies of P has long been expected to center on characters from L. Frank Baum's Oz series, which is what our guess for the "O" would be. (Sorry, Odyssey fans.) Indeed, Lies of P fans have spent the last two years discussing their hopes for what a Wizard of Oz Soulslike might look like, with villains such as the flying monkeys, living trees and, of course, The Wicked Witch of the West. I'd like to see players take Toto down too."What if Dorothy needs to return to Oz to purge the corruption that Paracelsus has created?" wrote a fan in one of the various reddit threads discussing hopes for an Oz-based sequel, many of which date back a couple of years. "Paracelsus is clearly a deceiver — as was the Wizard of Oz, so they may be one and the same? Or he is continuing the work of the original Wizard of Oz and is the 'new' Wizard of Oz?"We had a good time with Lies of P, awarding it 8/10, while its subsequent expansion Overture also secured a 8/10. "Even if it’s clearly dancing on the same old strings, Lies of P: Overture is an excellent expansion that adds a whole lot more to a game that was already great."
