Odisha rejected Ravindra Pal alias Dara Singh's plea for early release. The Supreme Court granted Singh two weeks to amend his petition. Singh is serving a life sentence for the 1999 murder of Graham Staines and his sons. He has spent over twenty-five years in jail since his conviction. The court will hear the amended petition after three weeks.
