Arsenal have the right manager with the right mindset to go invincible for the second time in the Premier League.That’s the view of former Gunners left-back Ashley Cole who feels they have created the perfect environment for glory.Arteta’s side are already winning by any means necessary, as they did last seasonGettyArsenal, led by the fiercely determined Mikel Arteta, won the title last season by seven points ahead of Man City.It saw the apprentice finally get the better of the master as Pep Guardiola failed to fend off his fellow Spaniard.In previous campaigns, the Gunners were superb challengers but gained a reputation for losing their nerve at the vital moment.Last term though, they were ruthless in pursuit of their first title since 2004, when the team, which Cole played in, went unbeaten and earned their Invincibles tag.As such, while they lost one extra game last season, they managed to get into the habit of turning draws into wins.And if they continue to build on that habit with their impressive mindset, Cole doesn’t think an unbeaten season is out of their reach having already won all of their first four games.He told talkSPORT at the launch event of the Topps Flagship Premier League 2026/27 Hobby Box in Fanatics Collectibles on Regent Street: “I don’t see why not.“I think Mikel has had that group now for four or five years. He’s been allowed to bring in his own players and take players out.“I think they’ve created a great environment where players understand now is about winning. You’ve got to continue to keep winning.“They are the champions, so they are going to go into the season, which they’ve already shown, with a personality, a belief, a desire and a hunger to not just regain the Premier League, but can they do more in the Champions League? They had a taste of that last season and fell a little bit short. So, who knows?”Cole, speaking at the Topps Flagship Premier League 2026/27 Hobby Box launch was once a keen collector himself.Now his son is doing the same and Cole spoke about the joy of a new generation finding his cards.He added: “I’ve got big memories of collecting. I think every little bit of pocket money I had, I would go into the local shop and buy the cards and spend the whole day putting them in the sticker books, whether it’s a sticker or a card, where you put them in a little case.“It’s definitely something I always did as a child and now I have a son, 10 years of age, and he loves it.Cole opened hobby boxes of the Topps Flagship Premier League 2026/27 set with the SideCards crew at Fanatics CollectiblesTopps“It’s like going back to my childhood and now I help him swap and exchange cards and he also picked me out as well, so that was quite incredible.”Asked about the experience of seeing himself in a collection, he replied: “It’s quite crazy really because as a young boy I never thought I’d be in the position where I would play for my boyhood club and then actually seeing myself on a card wearing a shirt. It is absolutely mind-blowing.“Then 20, 30 years down the line, now I have my own kids and I still see my name and see my card and see my face on the card in different shirts. It’s incredible and I look back now and think, I lived out a dream and it’s still continuing by having my face on these cards.”Things are a bit different now with Topps innovating within the industry.Autographed cards and cards with shirt patches inside are now chased by fans and Cole loves that they can now own a piece of their favourite star’s history.He added: “It’s incredible how they’ve evolved and developed. It’s mind-boggling to understand that that can fit on a card and you can have a part of that player’s journey with the picture signed from the player.“It’s brilliant. I think it just adds a different layer to it and a better layer and now you become part of that player’s career as well, which I think is special.”
