Cochin Shipyard Limited laid the keel for the first of six advanced missile vessels. This marks the shipbuilder's entry into constructing weapon-intensive platforms for the Indian Navy. These high-speed vessels will be equipped with advanced missile systems and radars. They will provide offensive capability against enemy warships and land targets. The vessels will also support maritime strike and anti-surface warfare operations.
