Second Lieutenant Kristian Grech has returned from the United States with a string of achievements after successfully completing a demanding 22-week military engineering and leadership course.The Armed Forces of Malta said Grech completed the Engineer Basic Officer Leader Course at Fort Leonard Wood in Missouri, where officers undergo training in engineering, demolitions, tactical operations, military planning and leadership.Grech was awarded the Honor Graduate Certificate for his academic and overall performance, placing him among the course’s top-performing students.His training also covered defensive and offensive engineer operations, alongside a series of physical and field assessments designed to test participants both physically and mentally.And that wasn’t his only achievement. During his time in the US, Grech earned three additional foreign military badges: the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge, the Norwegian Foot March Badge and the Norwegian Sharpshooter Badge.The Norwegian Foot March involved completing a 30km march while carrying a required load within a set time, while the other badges tested physical fitness, military proficiency and marksmanship.The AFM congratulated Grech on what it described as his “outstanding achievements”.Well done to Second Lieutenant Kristian Grech!Facebook Photos: AFM•
