Revanth Reddy on Saturday directed officials to formulate an advance action plan to ensure that school uniforms and other essential supplies are distributed to students on the very first day of the next academic year.Reviewing the distribution of uniforms and educational supplies to students in government educational institutions, the Chief Minister emphasised the need for better planning in view of a likely increase in enrolment. Anticipating a 10% rise in the number of students in government schools, he instructed authorities to make adequate arrangements to meet the additional demand.Mr. Reddy noted that parents had expressed satisfaction with the quality of the uniforms and other materials supplied this year. He, however, urged officials to make the uniforms more attractive by exploring a range of colour combinations and designs before finalising them for the next academic year. During the review meeting, officials informed the Chief Minister that the distribution of one set of uniforms to students in government schools, hostels and residential schools had been completed. The second set is expected to be distributed by the end of September. They added that students studying in Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBVs) and Model Schools had already received both sets of uniforms.Officials also briefed the Chief Minister on the supply of notebooks, stating that distribution to all students had been completed. The meeting reviewed the status of distribution of other essential items, including plates, glasses, bowls, spoons, cups, carpets, bedsheets and towels, to students in government hostels, residential schools, KGBVs and Model Schools.State Government Adviser P. Sudarshan Reddy, MP Vem Narender Reddy, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister K.
