The Tirupati laddu ghee adulteration case has taken a fresh turn with the Enforcement Directorate (ED) alleging that ghee supplied to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) was manufactured using refined palm oil, palmolein, palm kernel oil and various chemicals, and passed off as Agmark Special Grade Cow Ghee. The ED arrested Sukriti Foods promoter Kailash Chand Mangla on September 17 in connection with its money laundering probe, and he was later sent to judicial custody.
