Convention urges Keralam govt. to establish State law university - The HinduPublished - September 19, 2026 10:06 pm IST - KOCHIThe State students’ convention of the All India Lawyers Union (AILU) has urged the Keralam government to establish a State law university.A resolution adopted at the convention said that a centralised system would facilitate various academic and administrative processes, including admissions and enrolment, in view of the presence of nearly 40 law colleges in the State. The convention also called for making qualifications prescribed by the University Grants Commission mandatory for teachers appointed in law colleges, according to a communication.The convention was inaugurated by G.B. Reddy, Vice-Chancellor of the National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS), Kochi. AILU State president K.
