Since these ventilated storage points should have controlled temperature and humidity to avoid loss and keep onions in good shape for 60 days during summer and up to 180 days during winter or fall, the storage point should be built carefully by conforming stipulated standards.Hence, the Collector inspected these onion storage points as he reviewed the ongoing development works in Sankarankovil taluk on Wednesday.Mr. Ranjeet Singh also visited the fertilizer godown of Sankarankovil Primary Agriculture Cooperative Society to verify the stocks meant for the upcoming crop season.
