Oh it's not recent. Colleges care more about the money they rake in than they do the quality of the education they allegedly provide. I worked at a place where the reporters allegedly all had college degrees, but not one of them could create a well-worded title for their articles, much less write coherent sentences, nor were they capable of using apostrophes correctly. People see that garbage and think "this person is a professional, so that must be the right way to do it" - and the problem gets worse.
