Jamie Insole will embark on the next phase of his career at Sarsen Farm in Upper Lambourn, with the Group 2-winning trainer preparing to launch his own operation from the state-of-the-art base on December 1.It was first reported in July that Insole's partnership with Dr Richard Newland was coming to an end after two and a half years together at Urloxhey Stables in Worcestershire, during which time the yard sent out 83 winners on the Flat.They included Witness Stand when he provided the partnership with a breakthrough Group-race win in last year's G2 Lennox Stakes at Goodwood, while Dividend flew the flag for the team in Dubai during the winter when following back-to-back handicap triumphs with a runner-up finish in the G2 Singspiel Stakes.“We achieved a great deal in Worcestershire and I'm proud of what we built there,” said Insole, a former assistant trainer to Alan King and Charlie Hills. “To take that experience into a yard of this quality is incredibly exciting.”Insole will train alongside Daniel and Claire Kubler at Sarsen Farm, which sits at the foot of Lambourn's main gallops, with access to an extensive choice of turf and all-weather training grounds. The 50-horse yard includes purpose-built barns, turnout paddocks and dedicated facilities for owners and staff.“Sarsen Farm is an exceptional place to begin training in my own name,” added Insole, who is aiming to put together a team of around 30 horses. “Everything we were looking for is here, from the barns and turnout to the facilities for our owners and staff. Being right at the foot of the main gallops makes each lot very efficient, and having Lambourn's world-class training grounds on our doorstep gives us so many options for the horses.“The backing of our existing owners means an enormous amount.
