Justice Minister Clifton Grima has weighed in with a video statement amidst the fallout of the Yorgen Fenech trial verdict, saying it’s important to let the institutions work and warning that justice doesn’t mean doing what one wants.“From what we’ve seen recently, it appears as if there are people who look at rule of law very selectively,” Grima said, clarifying that he’s very aware how important every word he says can be.“It is not the politician’s job to decide who’s guilty and who’s innocent, that’s the court’s job,” the minister continued. “Recently we heard a lot of talk about the relevance, efficiency and necessity of the jury system.
