This event is for the contiguous US states! Winners would need to be able to supply an address in a support USA state. You can enter for/through a friend with a supported address. Unboxing, build, and review video of a SilverStone RM45-360 Server Chassis & Hailstone 360 AIO on the FGF YouTube channel - https://youtu.be/Vhg9BQhGASs This is a direct from dev/pub/store giveaway for FGF. Similar to those we've done before. Big thanks go out to SilverStone for doing this! INTRO With the rising interest in homelab setups and the ever-prevalent building of ones own PC, you will inevitably find yourself down a rabbit hole of options. I myself have wanted to build my computers and tech thingies into a server rack kind of thing for ages, so I went down the homelab route. Tougher as a general consumer. Getting server chassis' that fit your needs for whatever NAS/server/PC you're wanting to put together can take some research, but I found something pretty great. SilverStone (Technology) make high quality server chassis', PC cases, PSUs, CPU coolers and many more! Founded in 2003, the brand has been putting out fantastic stuff in the computing field. A healthy selection of AIOs and fan coolers, a bunch of various accessories, various computer fans, cases, and more give you a lot of choice. You may have seen their FLP tower computer cases sporting a retro identity as they were making the rounds in the online tech scene recently. Those and many other unique, and standard case options can be found in stores all over the place, but that wasn't my focus. See, I wanted to focus on their server chassis offerings. 1U, 2U, 3, 4, 5 and even 6U! They wanted me to check out and showcase their RM45-360 personally as I have been wanting to undertake a server rack build for a while now, which houses cool modularity options! They got a lot to choose from for those wanting to get a homelab going, which is a great call if you're into tech and centralizing your stuff a bit. To promote SilverStone and their products, I am happy to announce a FGF Giveaway from SilverStone! It'll be a smaller event in terms of prizes and regions this time around for our first collaboration together. This giveaway will be for 3 FHL120 Fans! The FHL120 are static pressure 120mm PWM industrial radiator fans. You could obviously use them however you wish, but high pressure fans are designed to be used on fin stacks (like a rad or CPU cooler), are quite strong, and tend to be louder than high airflow ones. Depending on your use case though, you may really benefit from some high quality FHL120 fans! These fans are actually the same ones included in the Hailstone 360 AIO, which I was able to try out in a product review (check the review section below for thoughts). All in all, these are solid high pressure fans that'll nicely support cooling your system. REVIEW To give a personal feel to this giveaway, SilverStone sent me a RM45-360 4U Server Chassis and Hailstone 360 AIO (since my CPU cooler was too tall) for me to re-build my PC with! The fans on the AIO are the very same FHL120 on offer here, but the AIO's version lack some of the rubber padding. It'll let me be able to chat about them directly too. Here is a video of me unboxing, building, and reviewing these Silverstone goodies on the FGF YouTube channel - https://youtu.be/Vhg9BQhGASs TLDW: The server chassis is a solid hunk of metal with a lot of really interesting considerations, even if I can't use it to the fullest. If you're looking to get a machine into a server chassis and need some 4U kind of space, then RM45-360 works as a wonderful choice with cool modularity! I have a slight complaints with some of the (cheap?) screws, but that could be on me. The ATX PSU installation bracket though did cause me some trouble. Either my PSU in particularly, or the version of the case I was sent had some sort of positioning issues. Thankfully, all this meant was that I have a slightly loosely mounted PSU, which isn't too bad. The Hailstone 360 AIO is a huge workhorse, although it might be overkill for my hardware. Considering the idea with this is to use it in server-grade setups, you're going to end up with really fast fans that can get loud. The pump itself is super quiet and runs very well. No complaints there. Temps stay ice cold! I ended up going for a target of 50% fan speed until unless needed on the three fans for the rad. That's been working, but I may dial it in a bit more. The fans included with the AIO are the FHL120, the same fan you could win in this thread! The fans are crazy fast high-pressure fans that can keep thing very cool. If you're sensitive to the audio of a fan though, you're in for a time. They can certainly get loud, no doubt there. I felt that having them at 50% was comfortable enough. Depending on your use case, limiting the speed or dealing the audio could be a limiting factor for you.
