This is the deeper female family of G1 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe and G1 Pretty Polly Stakes heroine Bluestocking (GB) (Camelot {GB}) and G1 Sussex Stakes winner Qirat (GB) (Showcasing {GB}). O-U Oshima B; B-Oshima Bokujo; T-Hidenori Take6th-NKY, ¥14,880,000 ($95k), Newcomers, 2yo, 1200mYU LIKE STAR (c, 2, Nashville–Kodiac Girl {Ire}, by Kodiac {GB}) was bought back on a bid of $80,000 at the 2024 Keeneland November Sale and failed to meet his reserve when bidding stalled out at $45,000 at KEESEP last year before changing hands for $42,000 at Fasig-Tipton October. A Mar. 27 foal, Yu Like Star breezed an eighth of a mile in a bullet :9 4/5 and was originally not sold, but was subsequently purchased in a private transaction by this trainer for $170,000 at this year's OBS April Sale. Freshman sire Nashville (by Speightstown) has already been represented in Japan by Pod Beat, who won his maiden by an impressive 10-length margin on debut at this venue Sept. 5.
