A 16-year-old has been arrested in connection with an investigation into alleged drug trafficking, after police found suspected cannabis and cocaine.Police said officers noticed the teenager driving a vehicle before he parked, got out and continued on foot. When approached by officers, he allegedly attempted to run away but was immediately arrested.A search of the teenager and the vehicle allegedly uncovered 12 packets containing suspected cannabis, five packets of suspected cocaine, a grinder with suspected cannabis traces and around €700 in cash.Police subsequently searched the residence where he lives, finding more suspected cocaine, electronic scales with traces of an illicit substance and a number of small bags.The teenager is being held at the Floriana Police lock-up and is expected to be arraigned today at around 11.30am before Magistrate Ann Marie Thake.•
